BEAUTY AND EVIL ——————–
I. BEAUTY
It was a beatiful, sunny, spring day and the weekend was over. Our four friends were going on a planned trip. At Reni’s request, they were tolook for her grandmother’s garden.
Looking trough the city map, Reni and Elon decided that they with Trolly the dog and Fyfy thee pig would go to the western districts of city, where behind the blocks of flats there is an old, large park and behind it thee are small streets with old houses and gardens.
The parents praised the children’s plan, because district of old, beatiful villas and the larges tpark in the city with exotic trees were worth seeing. They explained to tche children which tram to take there, gave money and sandwiches for the trip and a camera so that the children could take nice photos there.
Our our friends got off ar the tramstop by the park in the place where the streets with old villas began.
Their attention was drawn to the sight of a tallvilla resembling an ancient castle and walked towards to take it a clooser look.
The villa stood on a small,dead-end street.Old sidewalks were overgrown with white-pink daisiers and moss was green among the cooblestones. The air was filled with the scent of bloosoming lilacs and roses. You could hear the buzzing of bees and soft chirping of birds.
Children and animals slowly watched the villa as they wakded along the fence. They saw turrets topped with pointed domes, wooden closters, narrow windows.
At some point, an old, slim man with gray hair appeared on the entrance stairs. In a cheerful voice asked:
What are you here, charming childrens are circling around like this?
Reni and Elon, shouting over each other, said thatthey were looking at this house with delight and curiosity.
Theold man said: And do you want to see what it’s like inside my house? I invite you inside and let your pets run around the garden.
The house was entered by several stone stairs and trough a tall wooden door with smal stained glass windows at the top. Mr. Anthony said: Now sit down here a little bit and look around the hall. My wife Katherin is about to say hello to you and offer you cakes and tee.
Reni and Elon looded with delight at the shelves by the walls, full of books from the botton to the ceiling. A huge on hung from the ceiling metal chandelier and candle-shaped bulbs ilit. Wide, wooden stairs with decorative balusters led to the top.
Mrs. Katherine turned out to be wonderful, kind and cheerful lady. They all sat together at high, long table
on high-backed chairs. Mr. Anthony told the story of his house:
This most beatiful villa in the city was built by by grandfather, who was the mayor of this city. He built if in honor of his wife, who grew up in a castle in Saxony. The villa was an exact miniature ot that very old castle. During the war, the willa was damaget and is being rebuilt a little differently.
In order to have monet for further renovations, I signed a contract with the nearby Feature Film Studio “Mirage”. Various films are make here. My wife and I live on the grounde floor and on the Upper floors “Mirage” will have rooms at his disposal. The rooms are decorated inthe styles of different historicals epochs. Come with me, I’ll show you.
Reni and Elon looked at the next rooms with delight. There was room with boxes with a canopy. There was a room in the styleof Egipt and other sin the styl eof Ancient Rome. There was a room like a peasant’ room. Another loo ked like a cave. There was a room like a knight’s hall and the hall and the children liked it the most.
Elon was delighted with the knight’s armor, especially the wings, which were additionally attaches to the armor by Polish hussar knights. Reni discovred in the roomin the wardrobesthere were beatiful, long dresses and weils of the ladies of the knights and their strange, pointed shoes with pompoms. She thought at once that Cinderella from the fairy tale was assured of a ball in such a dressand lost such a shoe.
Mr. Antony told the children that there was still a car and a carriage to see in the garage, which was at the backof the garden. They saw in garden Mrs. Katherine playingwith Trolly and Fyfy. Mrs. Katherine said that everyone would have dinner in the garden.
In the garage, the children saw an antique Ford car. It was a bit like a carriage that stood next to it and to pull horses. There was also a chariot, a replica of uncovered horse-drawnv wehicle from the er of Egypt, later Greece and Rome. On he wals hung horse harnnesses and saddles.
For dinner Mrs.Katherine prepared, among other things, delicious pancakes, for children with sweet filling, for adults with mer filling. The annimals were given vegetable -meat soupin bowls.
After dinner, thechildren told a little about asylumand invited Mr. Anthony with wife to visit.
II. EVIL
After saying goodbye to Mr Antony and Mrs Katherine, the four of us friends walked trough park. But they were not alone. They saw that a very tin dog of the poodle breed was timdly following them. Whit him running and jumping a beatiful rooster of the redish breed .
Trolly and Fyfy turned around and politely greeted this strange couple: Hi, why you follow us ?
The poodle quietly asked: It is possible to you have something to eat, we are very hungry.
Reni heard this and immediately answered: We have a lot of food, we are already giving it to you. Let’s si there on a park bench!
The children took sandwiches and water out their backpacks. The dog and the rooster greedily drank and ate. When they had eaten, they thanked. Then Elon asked: Are you homeless ?
Poodle dog said: I’m a bitch Daisy and this is my friend cock Bac. We escaped from the animal farm, which is nearby,on other side of this park. There, animals are bred and taught how to fight each other. The company organizes illegal dog fights, as well as cockfights. Bad people buy tickets to watch these fights and to make bets on who will win at the bookmaker. The rooster Bac added: These are cruel spectacles, the animals bite each other until they bleed.
Daisy said: They dressed me in colorful dresses and made me dance in between fights. My children also taught to dance tlike this and then they sold them somewhere. They clip the wings of roosters so that they don’t run away.
Bac added: My brother was so badly wounded about the fight that I think they took him to be killed somewhere. That’s why we ran away from there and we will never go back there !
Fyfy and Trolly cried listeningto this story. Then they started talkingabout Mr. Jeremy’s animal asylum and persuaded Daisy and Bac to live there.
Reni added: The police will liquidate this company and these bad people will gow to jail ! She decided to tell all about it to Mrs.Susy’s son, after all Peter is an investigator in the police.
Eon suggested that now they would all go home together and Mrs.Susywould call to Mr.Jeremy to come and get Daisy and Bac to take them to the asylum.
It was already evening and everyone went to the tram stop and returned home.
