CHEATING. BAC COCK’S STORY ————————–

The girl Maggy told me how I hatched from an egg and how I was a little chick. She watched our family trough a hole in the door of our chicken coop.
Our mother hen Cocuny spouted to help me break an eggshell. When I got out off the egg I was naked and couldn’t even stand of my feet. That’s how we hatched five chicks.
Mom hugged us and warmed us under her wings. She told us fairy tales about world, taugh us how to talk.
Maggy and her grandfather Al brough us food and drink and improved the hay on which we had a nest.
When the featchers sprang up and we could walk, mom taught us how to get out of the chicken coop on lader to the garden.
Beatiful flowers, trees and shrubs grew in the garden. When we got tired of running and fly,mom carried us on her back. Took care of us the dog and the cat also. They lay down next to our momand listened when she told us fairy tales. The dog allowed us to fly on his back. The cat taught us to play games with him a smal ball and play hide and seek.
Maggy gave us names,my name was Bac and my brother’s name was Boss. From the names of my sisters, I remember only Bubby, because I liked her the best.
When we were older grandfather Al forbade us to dig in the ground in the garden and trample on flowers. He assigned us only a piece of the garden next to our chicken coop to dig in the ground.
Al also allowed us to fly to a tall tree with cherries,we ate it and admired how big the world is around us.
I really liked the time when the snow fell. Grandpa Al then moved us from the chicken coop to the basement where the radiator heated. During the day, he opened a window for us and we went out for air on the ladder. We could walk around the garden, roll and rummage in the snow.
People in the neighborhood liked to look at us because we looked like flowers in the snow. As redfish chickens, we were colorful and Bubby was motted, shw had dark-gray spots. In the snow, the brow spaniel dog Mimi and white-black cat Fifi also played with us.
One day, when AL, Maggy and Mimi were not at home, the boys from neighborhood passed trough the gate and wanted to take our mother’s and sister’s eggs away from us. As the boys were entering the basement trough the window, Boss and I pecked ad them and tore their hats off. With their hats, we flew to our tree and left them on the branches. At this moment Al came back and chased the boys out of our garden. Then the boys had to apologize and promise that they would not come here again without permission. Then Al gave back their hats.
Soon after, sad events occurred. Al told us that he, Maggy and Mimi the dog are going away for a month.
A paid woman will come to us every day and give us food. It turned out this woman was a fraud.
She gave us very little food, she stole our eggs. One evening, a woman came witch an unknown man who put me and my brother in bags and stole.
We were sold to a farm where paid cockfighting shows were held. We were wounded and sick, my brother Boss finally died.
These very bad people also held paid, cruel dogfighting there.
Good that I and poodle dog Daisy managed to escape from there. We ran away at night when these people were drunk and didn’t close the gate. We hidi n the park.
There we meet Reni, Elon, Trolly and Fyfy. They took care of us and took us to Mr. Jerem’s animal asylum.
Then Mrs. Susy told us that newspapers wrote about the police action that closed the wrong farm and the owners went to prison.
I think the cat Fifi told grandpa Al about what the evil woman and her accomplice did… Maybe someday A and Maggy find me and I’ll come home.
If I go home, I’ll teach my sisters to write, read and count.
