Eusebius and the other monkput a table and chairs from shed in the garden so that Reni, Elon,Trolly the dog and Fyfy the pig could rest a little tn the open air and could eat and drink. Themonks went to the monastery and an owl
flew to children and animals. Owl told them her story
She said:
When I was a chick I fell out of the nest. A man picked me up and put me in his bag. Then went to the park beer hall to drink beer. A beatiful young lady was walkingtrough park and she saw that I was moing on man’s bag.She bought me from him and carried me to her apartament. There she fed me every day and gave me name Sisi.
She lived with her husband and he made a nest for meon the stove. But I prefered to sleep on the bed next to my adoptive parents. When I grew up a bit, they taught me to fly.
Mother was standing at the window and throwing me ino the air. Her husband was catching me and tossing me up so that I could to fly to my mother. I learned to fly and Tmy mother left window open for me tofly in the garden near the house. Once I got lost, I flew to the garden across the street and sat by the window of house there but my mother found me.
I liked to sit on a very tall cherry tree in garden and sometimes I didn’t want to go home. Then my mother’s husband would put up a ladder, grab me and take me home. But once it rainedand my mother’s husband was afraid to climb the lader for me, because he could slip. Mom and he went to work and I was hungry and my parent’s window was closed by the wind.
In the neighboring buildind on ground floor lived an elderlylady, probably paralyzes. Every morning she gave food to homeless catsin a can, which she led down on the groundon a string. I thought thas this lady would give me food too and I flew to the fence from street, waiting for woman to open her window.
And then something terrible happened. Some children caught me, put me in a dark backpack and ran away with me
into the city. I went with themon the trams and trains. He was playing truant, doing what they wanted. Then they went wuth me to any house. They ate their sandwiches and drank water. They took me out of backpack and offered me their meal. Then they started running around house and I saw one open window.
I ran away. But I couldn’t to get back to my mother’s house. I was flyingin different directions but everything was unknown. I didn’t know where I was. I cried, I wasvery tired.
I sad on a bench and then brother John found me.Took me here to he garden, feed me. I could,n explain what city, street I lived on and whatmy mother’s name was. That’s why I stayed here with John and his birds.
Brother John pomised that he would find me a husband, we wouldmake a big, beatiful nest in tree. I will lay eggs from which our children, little chicks. We will take care of them and teach them to fly.
When the owl Sisi had finished telling its storyshe flew away to tall near orangery with birds.
