TOUCHED BY GOD : ARE YOU SURE?
—————————————

II. Henry i Teddy were in their teens at the time and looked at the world trough the glasses of skepticism and rebelion.
They ware fascinated and at the same time amused by the figure of a certain man, nolonger young, whom they met on the streets of their city. They met this man always alone, slightly hunched,Iwith a few days of stubble on his face and hair that should have been trimmed a long time ago.
They once followed him stealthily. It turned out that the man’s name was Joseph and he lived alone on the groun floor of multi-family house, reborn from the street with a smal, neglected garden. It was summer and the man was leaving the window wide open. The boys crept close to window and peeked inside.
Mr. Joseph was just eating a modest dinner and listening to the radio. The radio was turned to the Free Europe station, hated by the goverment but secretly listened to by many citizens. There were plenty of books everywhere, a large table with two chairs, a bed and a large wardrobe.
After dinner Mr. Joseph turned off the radio, knelt on the floor and began to pray loudly and fervently. It was not a standard prayer.Mr. Joseph told God daily experiences and reflections, mostof which were incomprehensible to the boys.
And these boys just had a diabolical idea that they discussed at they walked slowly home. They were ready to implement this idea after checking that Mr. Joseph spends his evenings in the same ritual way.
When the nex at day after dinner the man washed dishes, Henry walked trough the window to Joseph’s apartament and scoesl up i and hid in waerdrobe.
When Mr. Joseph began to pray, Henry opened the wardrobe door, curled his hand into a trumpet and said trough it: Joseph, what are you going to tell me today?
Mr. Joseph nervously began to look around his room. However, because he was hard of hearing inone ear, he couldn’t not locate where the voice was coming from. After a while, he continued to pray.
Henry spoke again: Joseph, you today sinned! Then man got up from his knees and began to approach the wardrobe.
Then Henry jumped out of the wardrobe, quickly ran to the window and jumped outside. Both boys laughed on loud and they went away down the street.
Since then, Mr. Joseph has rarely opened his window. And when he saw young boys, he avoided them…

III. Mr. Leon was a young light-hearted manand led a rather revelatory life. His friends often slept in his apartament, having loud discussions, listening to music and drinking alcohol.
Then Leon forgot that he lived with his ailing mother and that he had to serve her dinner. Leon’smother was a patient woman, so she didnnot disturb her son’s amused company.
And so, when Leon entered her room one morning, he found his mother dead.
Leon experienced the death of his mother very hard. Because he loved her very much and now felt remorse for not caring enough for his mother. He stopped inviting his friendsand was often alone in the evenings in his apartament.
At that time, every day at 6 p.m., Leon experience strange phenomenon.
In the hallway outside door, Leon heard his mother’s small, shuffling footsteps. The footsteps approached the door of Leon’s
apartament, stood there and then returned. When Leon once dared to open the door, there was no one there.
Leon invited his friend to see if he could hear these steeps. His friend heard the footsteps too, and when he opened the door, no one was there.
It is not known how long this phenomenon has been repeated, because Leon has repleaced his apartamentwith a smaller on the same street. In that apartament, Leon nolonger heard hismother’s footsteps.Anyway hereturned to his old, revelatory lifestyle.
After a few years, Leon’s friend, who also heard his mother’s footsteps, accidentaly found out what the causeof this phenomenon was. This was revealed to him by a drunken neighbor from Leon’s previous apartament. The neighbor’s wife very fond of Leon’s mother and felt sory for her plight.
She decided to take revenge on Leon and together with her husband constructed a bogeyman. On a smal ltape recorder they recorded steeps. They placed the devic in hallway above Mr, Leon’s door and they turned them on remotely for usig the remote control.
Leon’s friend never said that to Leon.He was already at odds with him, becausre Leon clearly abused alcohol.
