THE MAGIC OF OBSERVATION ________________________
In our space-time lives the famous knight Elonhard and his little son named Lileon. They both live in an old castle with a huge area around.
Little Lileon often left alone because his father is a very famous man and constantly busy with many very importants matters.
Now little Lileon went to the surrounding castle park for a walk with his dog Max and young cat Point.
The talles tree in they park is an old spruce. And it was on this tree that cat Point suddently jumped and began to climb highter and highter. Lileon love his cat very much and when he lost sight of under the branches of the needle, boy began to cry out:”Pont, where you were, come back here to me !”
But the Point does not speak at all and climbed the tree higher and higher . He sits on the highest branch and , bewildered, sees the world around.
Cat tracks white, feathery clouds moving across the sky, flying birds and insects. Downstairs he sees a boat sailing down the river, deer flock in the meadow and little bunnies playing there.
ahe sees also road and few cars drivimg along it. He even saw aiport of knight Elonhard, two planes and big spaceship standing there.
The cat are so delighted and fascinated that he could barely hear the cal of Lileon.
Twillight is slowly falling, so the biy tells dog Max stay under the tree and runs to the service for help. One of he gentelmen brings a high ladder, climbs it, reaches the ca by the tail and descends together, where they put on the cat’s collar and leash .By the light of flashlights, they all return to the castle.
Cat Point told boy Lileon why he did not want to get down from the tree, then boy repeated all this to his father over dinner in the evening.
Lileon called in short Lil talking to father now: “Dad,have you hea dthat some people build houses in trees and they like to be there somethimes ? Would you allow and helpme build such ahouse fo me, cat and dog ?” And boy showed his father photos of treehouses found on the Internet.
Knight Elonhard interested son’s story answers: “Of course, we build such a house, but on another tree,a tree without pricking needles. We will build a house on an old large walnut tree. The smell of its leaves is healing, and you will be able to eat nuts straight from the tree !On Sunday we will look carefully at the tree and develop an accurate design of the cottage. I alsothink it is worth adding an observation balcony around the tower of our castle. Also make there a glass roof and buy scopes to be able to watch the stars at night. I will ask a friend of the architekt to make project for the tower’s reconstruction in consultaton with the conservator of monuments.”
The little Lil jumped with joy at these words and explained all this to his animals. Then they all feel asleep and dreamed of treehouses.

After a few months, everything was ready. Lil and animals could enjoy the tree house at will.The house is entered by a movable ladder, which could be dragged down and pulled up, so that no stranger could enter.The house have side winding terraces, leading higher and higher to thincker tree branches.
Inside the cottage there was a table and chair, as well as cozy sleeping places. There was also a small binocular cabinet and nootebook for observation, cups and plates.
There were still modernizatiion works on the tower, which interested everyone in the castle and were waiting for the ceremonial comissioning of the tower.
It was autumn. Lil also picked nuts for the squirrels who learned to take them from his hands.
Lil wrote down his observationsin a notebook, how many deer and hares there were in the park.He learned to recognize birds by the way they sing, he also recorded burds tricks and made short videos about birds. He also prepared with others boys winter birdhouses and bird feeders.
He managed to unlearn cat from catching birds. Max, the dog was pulled up a tree by a rope in basket and liked it.
Starting today, the ceremonial opening of the tower after renovation is to take place next week. Li learns a bit of astronomy and how to operate scopes. A clock and a small bell were alsohung onthe tower, which will ring beatifully every hour. There will also be a wind direction indicator spinning. And there will be a state flag.
New handrails were installed on the stairs ofthetower and glass panes were inserted the windows.
There will be two ropes hanging outside the tower for climbing and sliding exercises.
And it all started with cat Point jumping on a tree. That’s why the treehouse was called the Cat’s House
and the tower will now be called the Cat Observation Tower.
And did you know that it’s also great to observe everything small.For example,the life of ants, summer flights of fireflies, traces of wandering snails, various pollen and bacteria under a microscope.
And did you know thatit’s also great to learn to recognize different noises, murmurs and sounds, also with your eyes closed.
And with your eyes clodsed or in dark would be able to recognize what youre touching or what you’re sniff ?
Some animals, such as eartworms, donot have eyes and ears, they are guided mainly by touch. Some animals,such as a dog, have poor eyesight but much better hearing or smell thau us and their world is different from ours.
And did you know that someanimals see more colorsthan we do.
I’m sure someday you’ll see how different and interesting the underwater world is in the seas or oceans.
Or maybe you will have the opportunity to meet something completely differenton the moon oron the planet Mars.
